I need help with XD45 - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

Can someone explain to me why it is so hard to find a XD 45 Bi Tone? I have gone to every local gun shop here is Raleigh NC and they all say it is impossible to get one and they are on backorder. I can find the black and earth tone but not Bi Tone (SS). Is springfield just not making them? What's the deal?

Try an online place likw www.whittakerguns.com they are easy to deal with, have low prices, and ship quite quickly.

try out shooter's choice or Jim's pawn and guns in Wilmington NC. Between those two, I've always gotten what I've wanted

+1 on Whittakers...

I paid $499 delivered for my .45 Tac, avoided sales tax, and got it in hand quicker than my local dealer could have done it. Oh, spare mag was cheap too. Great service, friendly folks.

BTW - it was due folks here that I learned about Whittakers. Thanks!

My 2 cents is that the earth tone looks cheap, therfore more available...sorry. And the bi-tone and black are stylin'.

it's next to impossible to get any xd in the style you want. murphy's law. i want a 45tac and can't seem to find them but they have every other one stocked to the hilt. then i come here and see people say just the opposite, i want a xd45 service but all they have is tac.

oh well. i now get what i can just cuz i know when i decide i want it, it won't be available.

Thanks to those here I also learned of Whittakers Guns. It took four weeks of calling to finally secure a service model Bi-Tone in.45acp. $479.00, $20.00 shipping, and $30.00 transfer fee to my local FFL. I can't belive how well this pistol feels and shoots.

I went to my local shooting range and rented the XD45 and shot 50 rounds just to see if I liked and I absolutley loved that gun. It is awsome.
