+P Ammo is XD?
Wondering if a stock XD-45 is tolerant enough for JHP +P's?
Thought about using this type for carry ammo. What are your thoughts? -koko

I've shot a mess of Federal 230gr HydraShoks through mine and they are rated the same as Hornady's TAP personal defense ammo which is +P. The XD45 cycles 'em just fine and done seem to be any more recoil than factory 230gr FMJ RN ammo.
Hornady TAP is rated at 950fps at the muzzle, 908 at 50yds and 872 at 100yds. |

Yes +P and the XD
Same here have shot Corbon and Federal H.S. and they work well they are not cheap range Ammos

No problems with Hydra Shoks through mine. But I don't shoot a lot of them through it, just enough to get a feel for them in it and test accuracy...otherwise, they just fill up the magazine between range trips for the "just in case I need my pistol" times.

The XD's are combat type pistols and can easily withstand +p ammo. Have you seen this thread?  You and Your XD

Welcome to the forum. try Doubletap ammo it is pretty hot and not rated +P but even in a full size 1911 it wakes you up nice and accurate also.
