Then I think you'll love this idea!

I'm starting a campaign to get Beretta to make a version of the Storm carbine that uses XD45 magazines. They currently make a 45 version but it uses 1911 mags.

So if you would like (or love!) a carbine to match your XD45 then drop Beretta a note letting them know you'd buy one!

I think it would be awesome, but will they re-machine, the Storm for the Wide body 45 acp mag's of the XD, which has such a small foot print in the market place? I hope so...Will send email to them. Good luck and keep us posted.

sounds a little dreamy but dosent it use the PX4 mags ?

Actually we're both wrong. It uses Cougar magazines. Crap. I guess I can scratch the idea of them making a version to work with XD mags.

OK, plan B. How about a carbine upper for the XD45 from Mech-Tech?

Well I actually got a response from Beretta. As anticipated, they won't even consider using a "competitor's" magazine. The new high-cap ACP Storm carbine will use proprietary Beretta mags.

A Mech-Tech wouldn't be bad, the only reason I sold mine for the 1911 was due to mag cap.

I would love to have the Storm in a .45.
My boss has one and I'ts all dressed. I have only fired the 9mm but they are sweet guns!

Eversince I was a kit I have wanted a rifle that shared my primary pistol ammo.

The storm would be wicked!
