Smile Went to the range

Well all, I went to the range today. I fired off 175 rounds of WWB without a problem! It was great. However; while I was getting in the one hundred range, the trigger started to fell like it was getting stuck a little. Has anyone had that problem? Other than that, the gun worked great. I love this gun. Its my first gun and Im glad I got it. Now I want a Kimber 1911. Just wanted to let you all know it worked great, like everyone knew it would.

Congratulations, glad to hear you had a successful time shooting. Not sure what you are trying to explain with the trigger. Does it feel like the trigger is no returning after squeezing the trigger (firing)?

What gun were you shooting? My Xd45 Tactical felt a little stiff in the trigger for awhile but it worked it's self in in a very short time. Probably every new firearm I've ever owned needed some time time break in.

Not to start a Kimber flame but.. I had a TLE II that would FTE like clockwork every 50 or so rounds. The fired case would hang up on the extractor and the slide would slam forward, smashing the brass and taking the gun out of action. A screwdriver was needed to pry out the fired, stuck case. I sent the gun back to Kimber and it was returned with the same problem. I promptly dumped the Kimber.

My TLEII was a .45 ACP. I actually wanted it so badly that in a moment of insanity I traded a Glock 21, Sig 220 and a XD357. Boy was I disappointed when it did not work right. I may try another 1911 one day, that one was my first and only.

OUCH on the trades.... Yeah I would be disappointed also. I've heard and read Kimber has been having Quality issues as of late. I went with a good entry level 1911 SA Mil Spec. Haven't had any problems with it just need to use quality mags with it. I bought 2 New GI mags at the gunshow, last time I buy GI Mags. The GI mags didn't feed worth a crap the factory mags work flawless. One GI mag while I was shooting the follower got stuck. I was able to get the rounds out of it. In the process of trying to get the follower to return to normal positon the mag broke apart with the spring and follower flying out onto the range floor. Needless to say I tossed the mag and gave the last GI mag to the range master. He tossed it into the garbage and said that's about what it was worth. He didn't want to give it to anyone else to have same problems or experience.

I briefly owned a Kimber Super Match and couldn't figure out why it had trerrible size groups @ 25yds.Took it to the gunsmith of the shop I bought it from who discovered one of the locking lugs was malformed and not using the bearing surface properly.Actually causing the barrel to be loose when in battery. The shop refunded my moneyand sent it back to Kimber.Quality control was having an off day when that gun came through.
Then, one day I was looking at a Kimber Model 84 Rifle in a shop and noticed the machine work on the safety was so rough I couldn't get the safety to engage. The clerk also tried to no avail.
Makes a Guy wonder?

I was ab;e tp get out on the range myself yesterday. Only 150 rounds this time out due to time constraints on the XD40. A bit nervous at first due to the FTE's I had last time out. No problems this time out with different ammo..

Yeah, after that I vowed never to do business like that no matter how bad I want a firearm. I also used quality mags in it. I have been looking at Springfield 1911's though I will probably pay cash this time.
