XD 45 Parts?

Does anyone know where I can get replacement parts for my XD (specifically the striker and sear) I called SA and they said those parts were restricted for sale. I then wrote them an email asking if I can have a list of the parts that were restricted and they wrote me back saying: "I am unable to give a list of the parts we do not sell per my supervisor"

So the list of restricted parts is restricted?

thanks,
-Eric

I asked for a list of parts they would sell about 2 months ago. At least you got an answer I didn't get one not even a No you can't see the list or have it.

You will probably need to send the firearm back to SA and let them install the parts.

BTW welcome to the forum.

We could give you the answer but thats..........well - restricted. (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Isn't the 45 covered by a lifetime warranty? Stinks sending it back but at least it gets done for close to free.

So ...

The problem with Glock is their arrogance - "Being the Best Pistol on Earth and the End All Design for all Time".

Springfield's fault - they do not sell parts and tech manuals for the XD.

If Springfield does not correct their policy the aftermarket will clean their clock.

Springfield! Parts equal dollars! Dur-da-dur-da-dur!

Maybe they are hiding that HS will not sell them just parts as part of the import agreement.

Yeah, too bad SA won't sell parts for the XD and no aftermarket ones either at the present. Often, buying just the part and installing it yourself is much less expensive than mailing in the gun. It has to be a liability thing. Unfortunate, as that's the ONLY thing keeping me from buying one, but hey, I get to shoot my brother's TAC 45 every weekend (that's a fine, fine gun).

I have inquired about this as well. The answer i believe i got was they dont have any extra parts to sell. It is hard enought to keep xd's on the shelf let alone taking extra parts from the manufacturer to sell as parts. That way SA only has to replace parts that are truly broken not just for those of us that want to stock up on replacement parts.

Wink It could be true

S.A. could need all the parts they have to do their own repairs. They don't control the XDs Mfg. so they may be telling the truth.
