Thats gonna put a smile on some faces! I think most were hoping for a 3" version though, not just a shorter grip.

Oh my god, that is perfect.

I gave up on the XD's... and then Springfield comes out with exactly what I wanted. A G19 sized XD with a good finish on the metal.

Well, it really looks like they've been listening to all the feedback and comments about an SC grip in 4" or 5"....

They actually did listen how many concept pics have been posted on this board showing the regular slides on shorter frames, or all of the grip chop threads. Like I have always said you all don't think SA looks at this forum, but they do. I want to know where my XD-380acp is. Oh did I say that out loud. The goal is something the size of a keltec .

Please take 10 seconds and at least make an attempt to spell check/grammar check your posts. It is beyond ridiculous how little sense your posts make. I make an error here and there by being speedy, but come on!!!

Now...back on topic.

This is not really what I was expecting either...but that's fine. I'll take my XD-9 SC with trigger job, fusion finish, pearce grip, and lasermax guide rod and continue to carry it!

I guess it's one less pistol I'll have to buy. The 9 is fine IMO.

Yay...oh wait...booh! I've been looking at a G 30 3rd Gen...now I know I'm going to buy one! I was waiting until SA's XD-45 SC came figuring I would take it any day over a Glock...and now it's here...and I don't want it.

I'm glad I had the self control to hold off until it came out but I'm bummed it's not a pistol that makes the G30 look like crap.

Oh well...I still love you XD.

G30, here I come!

$500 for something that takes 30 minutes and a dremel to do? No thanks.

They were on the right track except they didn't cut off enough of the grip. If they had taken it down to the same height as a real SC and then offered a longer magazine sleeve it would have been perfect but this is just silly imho.
