Yeah, it's not an SC. The smallest one is 5.1" high, or basically the saem size as the service 9mm.

Weak, Springfield. I thought you guys would have listened closer to your customers.

most people say the part that normally prints is the grip when they CCW

get out the pitchforks gentlemen, there's about to be heresy comitted...

It's GREAT! I always wanted a Glock 19 that was made by XD. Now I can have it and 45 ACP too.

For me, the part that always prints is the bottom of the grip. I'm tall and well fed so barrel length is no problem (Used to carry a 1911a1) but the grip length would always poke out. Tried out a G19 but didn't like the grip angle or the lack of a grip safety.

Rub Rub Rub those pennies guys

yes and overall length of the 4 inch is less than an inch longer than a 3 inch sub, does that make a difference for CCW? I would rather have the shorter grip, overall length of a 3 inch is 6.26 inches, overall of a 4 inch is 7 inches. thats .74 inch, does that really make a difference for CCW??? Please explain why some people don't like it. Thanks

PackerFan- Pierce already has the pinky extension for the XD mags

XdKid- When i said that i can cut my grip down and i would have the same gun I meant now that the mags are available I can do it. i would rather cut my grip down costing me nothing than spending another $500 for the same gun with 3 less rounds.

Like others have said, i think it's a lame attempt at a sub compact, a shorter grip does not make it sub compact. a shorter grip, less rounds and a shorter barrel make it a sub compact. when people were expecting the 45sc they were looking for something along the lines of the xd9sc and xd40sc measurements but in the .45ACP. i too was awaiting this and i will continue to keep my fingers crossed, but for now ill spend my money else where.

OMG!!! I can see a new acquisition to my gun collection very, very, very soon. I'm going to hit the LGS on the way into town tomorrow and see when these are available. I've been wanting a .45 ACP service for a while, and with the option of the SC grip or the mag extension to make it a service grip, I have to have one.

Well crap! Guess this means I keep my Glock 36 as my "I REALLY don't want this to show" CCW weapon! Dang I was REALLY hoping for something from Springfield about this size!
