The single most popular Glock is the 19. SA just gave us a .45 ACP in that relative package and it's only being marginally praised. Proves there's no pleasing everyone I guess, but since I couldn't wrap my adult-sized hand comfortably around a tiny grip anyway this is literally exactly what I drafted out as my dream gun years ago. G19 format in .45ACP with better ergonomics. Holy cow did SA get this one right.

Way to Go Springfield! Order Placed Today!
I find my Glock 19 to be the largest 3-finger gun I can deep-conceal here in occupied territory-CA, which is mandatory for us non-LEO types (or they put you in the gulag!). I find it's 4" bbl much more capable than a 3" when it comes to hitting at 15+ yards, and three fingers far better for controlling those double-taps. So, I sold my Glock-19 to my girlfriend today, and placed an order for this new Compact! I understand the disappointment you collectors have in not getting your 45SC yet for your collection, but as a practical compromise between concealability and shootability, this should be a real winner. Being able to add a longer grip to it, combined with the ability to still make use of my M6 Light/Laser, might very well take the place of my XD-40 Tactical for home defense as well. This gun is a win-win for me.
Hey, thanks to all you regulars here for all the great opinions and banter... it's like having 50 gun shop guru's in one gun shop!

I was considering XD 45 but I thought the grip was way to long. This seems to be a better answer. I will have to wait for 6 months before dealer has them available. Still looks good

Did some calling to Springfield about the availability of the Compact today. The lady I spoke with said that the compacts should be getting shipped out to their distributors around the middle of this coming week.
