Anyone have a aftermaket barrel?
Just wondering because I'm thinking of one of the EFK Fire Dragon barrels...looks nice. anyone have one? or another I might want to look at. Here is the Fire Dragon barrel...its not ported http://www.efkfiredragon.com/proddet...p?prod=XDS45SB
Also...do I have to order one through my FFL dealer? Barrels cannot be shipped direct to me right?

Barrels don't need to go thru an FFL. You can order on-line.

The need?
Ok - great looking barrel. Excuse my newbieness.......... Does a new/replacement/upgraded barrel give one better accuracy, better barrel life or improve the gun at all?
Not that I don't trust my SA barrel but this post got me to wondering what changing out the barrel will do for the gun. Thanks......
