Fire Dragon does not offer a .400 Corbon barrel for the XD-45 yet.I called them a couple of weeks ago and they said by the end of November maybe?
I used their(.400 Corbon) barrel in a Sig 220 with excellent results.I like the .400 Corbon round. Its a fun round to shoot.And, quite similar to the 10mm ballistically speaking.

Hopefully, you mean ".400 Cor-Bon!" When/if?? the XD comes in 10mm, that'll be a better setup than a .400 Cor-Bon conversion barrel.

there are several reasons to change out your barrel. but in my case, i did it soley for cost. i bought the XD 40 Service and Tactical. 2 guns total to start. then i went out and bought a 9mm conversion barrels for both of them. Not only do i now save money on bullets, but i essentially have 2 more options. I can shoot 9 and 40. I also got mine barrels ported cuz i liked the look. although i've never shot a regular xd9, the recoil is much less on my ported 9 than my 40's.

In your case, since you have the 45. not much you can do to convert but if you wanted to improve your accuracy, then you might consider a barsto barrel. But to really improve accuracy, you should have a pro fit it. Besides, depending on the type of shooting you are doing, accuracy is over rated. from my perspective, a 3" group at 15 yards is no better than a 2" group at 15 yard when it comes to taking someone down. but i'm a casual shooter and haven't started competing yet.

if you do get another xd, get a 40 and a conversion 9 barrel. then you'll have a 45, 40, and 9 but for much less money.
