How many round before a malfunction?

I want to see how many rounds fellow .45 owners have gone before a malfunction...or even if your still going. If you had a malfunction that was either a mistake on your part or if you think it was ammo say so. thanx.

I had malfunctions in my first 1000 because I didn't lube my new pistol properly. I have always had problems with lube.

I woudn't count that. You should always expect a new pistol to need extra lube until it wears in.

I guess I didn't expect a combat pistol to be that tight when I first got it. It did initially run right out of the box but after I got to about number 300 even after cleaning it gave me problems. I later learned this was from crud under the extractor and lack of good lube.

Not that it matters

I only have 200 rounds out the barrel. All PMC 230gr. I sent it to Steve Springer for a trigger job. It should be back today. So I wait....
