Where's my compact 45 already?

When, oh when are they coming out with the compact Xd 45's. Yeah, I know springfield says they're working on one, but man I want one now (or at least for X-mas). I'm just hoping the grip is just a bit longer than the current crop of sub-compacts, but right now I'll settle for anything.

Come on Springfield Armory! Pull the thumbs out and make me a compact 45!

+1 Here's hoping it will be soon. Very soon. Preferably.

That would be my guess...

It's a race between a steel framed Kahr in .45 or a SC in .45, we'll see who wins.
