XD45 Night Sights

This may be a silly question to a lot of you... but it's something I don't know.

I currently have an XD9 Service. Would it be a problem for someone (more knowledgeable than me) to swap the factory Tritium sights from the XD9 with the normal sights on a new XD45 Service I'm going to be picking up?

As far as I know all the XD's have the same size dovetail cut so the answer would be yes. If you don't think you can do it yourself, then have a good gunsmith do it the first time because the sights are installed by Springfield Armory with a Hydrolic press and they can be a bear to remove. So you don't want just anyone doing it. The average sight removal tool will not budge these puppies, in most cases the sights need to be removed with hammer and punch, and put on the same way. So proceed with care.

Ditto on the sights. I changed mine out so I guess I got lucky. Used Gunk Liquide wrench first and they tapped right out, so go figure.

they'll fit, but they may not be the right height, and thus alter your point of aim/impact.
