Xd-45 aftermarket parts?
Sorry I've been absent for a while, getting married and stuff, Has anyone started making aftermarket guide rods and springs for the xd-45 yet? I have a service model and want to replace the guide rod without sending it to SA, it's starting to bend or warp
45 service btw. Last edited by Heathen-Yak; 10-23-2006 at 09:25 AM. |

Nothing for the Service model yet. Canyon Creek is a month or so away from releasing their Tungsten Rod and Don is planning to release a rod by the end of the year.

Replacement factory guide rod assemblies for the XD45 Service are available from SA. I ordered one just to keep on hand. They are approximately $15 and SA ships quick. I have zero complaints with the factory part in my XD45 Service (so far).

Can someone explain or point me to a site that explains the advantages of the different weight springs and guide rods?

www.suresight.com. Great new sight set coming in November...a lot of R&D went into these sights, so they were well worth the wait.
