XD45 Accuracy
How accurate are these XD45's at 25 yds? Does the frame/slide tightening and barrel re-fitting offered by S-A make any difference? Thanks.

I saw a XD45tac grouping very well at about 15 yards. It lookedlike about a 2in group. The shooter was a bullseye shooter so I knew it would be pretty darn good. I have not heard of anyone getting any springfield custom shop work done here yet. Would be nice to know.

I was at the range yesterday with a group of new shooters and they wanted to know which of my handguns were the most accurate. I let them shoot my Kimbers, my XD, my HK and my SW 686. From a sandbag, there was no different, the XD shot group could be covered with a half dollar.
The reason I let them do this exercise is to show them that it is not the weapon causing them to be all over the target. I don't know of any custom work that would improve on a group like that. |

I shot 2 XD .45's this am, 1 Service 1 tactical. 15 yards 1" groups, 3 shots each freestyle, nice little triangles. If you are going to get a barrel fitted I suggest the Barsto gunsmith fit barrel over refitting the stock barrel.
