What do the non-FO Dawsons Have?
Since the Dawson Adjustable come in Fiber Optic and non-Fiber Optic. What do the non-Fiber Optic sights have, dots?
Are the Fiber Optics definitively better than the non? Are the Fiber Optics really nice for daytime/lighted range shooting? |

Nothing in the rear, a nice rear black blade. It is a great sight picture IMO. Rear dots are very distracting for me and take my focus away from where they should be, the top of the front sight.
The fronts all come in FO, so you can just use sight black if you prefer the non FO front. Last edited by Loves2Shoot; 10-18-2006 at 07:38 PM. |

Dawson's don't require any modifications to the slide, right?

No, however the sights may need to be fitted a bit to go on as they should.

I has S.A. install a set of Dawson Adjustable FO sights on my 45T and love them for outdoor or lighted range work. Low light situations are also as good or better than standard sights.
The only problem that I had was that the adjustable sights are taller and rendered a few of my holsters useless due to the front sight heighth.
