Lost my front TFO

I had a set of Truglo TFO's installed and the second time I shot the gun, the front site was gone. As tight and hard as they are to get out and on, I have no idea how it came off. The worse thing is I couldn't find it. I was on hands and knees and never found it. Can you order a front site only?

You should contact the dealer you purchased the set from and they will work out the warranty issue with Tru-Glo. You can go directly to Tru-Glo, but they usually will refer you back to your dealer anyway. If they are within the warrant period and not damaged by neglect, it should be covered.

Did you lose the entire sight or just the tube/insert?

As noted, TRUGLO should cover the loss.

Lost my left rear on round # 15, the tube came apart and whizzed by my head - never to be found. Could still see the glow at night in the bottom of the sight cavity.

Took it right back to the dealer who promptly put in a new set. Been fine since. Maybe they got a bit too rough with it during the install and it didn't like it

If the sights are beat on during installation instead of fitted, the epoxy could loosen which can cause the tube to fall out. It is more common for the tube to crack and the Tritium to leak, which means the sight will slowly lose its glow.

It was the whole site, not just the tube. I ordered them from Bud's online, then had them installed.

Wow. On the XD that is tough because the sights are dovetailed. On the Glock it is more likely because they are held in via a post and nut and one can snap the bolt if you over tighten the nut.

I would contact your Gunsmith and discuss it with him, as this seems to be an issue of fitting the site and not the site failing.
