Chopped up 45 service

anyone have pictures of their XD's chopped so they can use smaller mags.....???

I may be wrong here, but I doubt you'll find any because there aren't any smaller mags to be had yet (no 45 SC variant released). If somebody has a source for these, speak up!

The advantage of chopping a service length gun is to maintain the sight radius, yet make the gun easier to conceal.

Until XD45ACP mags are available for a subcompact, chopping your gun now would be foolish.

Updated softcore...

Packerfan was one of the pioneers in this area, I think. You have to page down a bit, but it's all there.

Someone should try to modify the .45 mags too, all you'd have to do is chop them down to SC length and possibly trim down the spring.......

There have been plans made by some to "chop" the Service once the SC model gets released.
