Rattle with Full Magazine
Loaded up the XD45 magazine. Inserted it in the weapon XD 45 - 5" Barrel and it rattles. Anyone else notice this? I have glocks, sigs, smiths, h&K and have never had the sound of the whole magazine shake rattle and roll in the weapon. Makes me think ths gun is cheap and not made with quality.
Your thoughts or advice. This has done this with 3 magazines.. All Factory. |

So does my $2000 Open pistol, and it's $75 magazine also rattle.
Does it feed every single round without a hitch? Yes. Do I care that it rattles? No. P.S. I also have a SIG, Glock, and several 1911's. All of their mags rattle to some point. Does it affect the feeding of the gun at all? No.

I have the same problem with 1 of my .45 ACP magazines, just noise, no impact on the effectiveness of the magazine. I think the spring, near the top of the mag is banging off the side of the metal magazine. I've taken the mag apart, cleaned and re-assembled. Still makes the noise.

The rattle and movement is almost like the magainze is the wrong size for the weapon.

Mine rattles with all 3 mags. But it's also got the smoothest drop free of any gun I've handled. I'm pretty sure the two are related. Just a thought.
