Moving the sights

Well, I tried adjusting my sights. Just need to be moved ever so slightly. However, after trying, I only ended up with the sights in the same position and less one brass punch. I didn't want to use a steel punch because it might mar something. Any ideas?

GW:

I used a steel rod to move the sights on my .45ACP Tac. I used a piece of electrical tape over the end of the rod. Held in vise with rubber pads and a standard hammer. You can't see any damage. I really needed a bigger hammer, maybe a 3#.

Moving them with any precision is not easy without big presses.

Mine moved very easy after I put some Gunk liquid wrench on them. It's like a penetrating oil I guess but it works great.
