You set the tone for all subsequent reponses. There was no call for that. That is immaturity.

So basically you started a thread saying the XD has problems, when in fact ti doesn't haven't problems rather and it's just a matter of the aftermarket catching up, in the hopes of getting people riled up. Why?

You got yourselves riled up....you just can't see it.

I think you got yourself riled up. So much, that you sold both your XD45s.

The tone and responses that you have left here speak volumes. Your concerns about the lack of aftermarket items for the Xd line are real, as is your lack of respect for others whom you know nothing about.

Did the forum members treat you well, some did not, many did. This is the XD forum, many here are brand loyal, otherwise they would not be here. This is expected that they are going to defend their brand to all nay sayers or those who cast doubt. Just as you feel strongly enough to voice your concerns about the XD line here. You attacked, they protected.

They believe in what they have and will let all know they believe in the XD line. You yourself say that the glockers are the same way, you knew that coming here and saying what you did in the manner that you did. I would guess that you did this to create a stink here and rile up the crowd.

My grandmother is long since passed away, but something I always thought was cute that she did, was, she would be mean to people just to get them to talk to her. If she felt she was not getting enough attention, she would verbally assault anyone. Makes me laugh thinking about it. Man was she a character. Mean, Polish, deaf and always thinking she needed more attention.

As stated by some here and elsewhere on the forum, aftermarket items are coming for the 45ACP model, thus, this is being addressed. Even a commercial vendor said this. Please bear in mind the gun was just introduced to the market in December 2005, not quite a year ago, As mentioned, it does take time to determine needs, engineer them, cost analyze them, test them, and then produce the items. Things take time.

Re: Melonite. Please do some research, this process can and is done in the U.S.A. unlike what you have stated.

My first handgun was a XD 9mm V10. I did a little research before I bought it and found that at that time, there was almost nothing available for it aftermarket wise, why, because it was so NEW to the market. I found this out and still bought it, with no misgivings in purchasing the gun. I wanted to get one the early versions of the XD line anticipating that some day I would give it to my daughter when she is old enough, and thought that there might be some value in one of the early versions, again, knowing full well at the time, that there was little in the after market department. Little did I realize then what I know now, that S.A. plays jumble with the serial numbers. Oh well.

If your not happy with the XD, say that, then sell em, as you did. (yes, I know you still have one, CONGRATS). Then let us know what you buy to replace them. Many here on the forum buy and own other guns. Catjuggler just bought a Glock as did somebody else here. Yes they got some fun poked at them, but also were told, whatever works best for them is what they should buy. Point being, this is a open forum that does not condone purchasing other brands of guns. You know this, yet still wrote the things that you did in the manner that you did.

As far as calling people son, kid, etc. Those are just cheap tactics to try to make some think that the one saying them is older/more knowledgeable. One doesn't need to resort to cheap tactics when one can prove their knowledge by their actions and insightfull words of wisdom.

I will agree that there aren't many after market parts available for the gun yet but I don't consider that a problem. I knew that when I purchased two of them. In my opinion sights, spare mags, and a trigger job from Canyon Creek are all that mine needed. Springfield shipped me a spare recoil assembly for the service and supposedly Wolff has them for the tacticals. I planned on calling them tomorrow to see if that is true. I'm curious as to how you know for certain that HS Produkt does not protect its employees from the finishing process.

If they are that faulty, I'll take the last one from you.... Some of us here in CA don't care about the lack of aftermarket products. We can't even get the full line of guns to stay on the shelf.
