Canyon Creek or Springer for Trigger?

Which outfit have you been most happy with regarding a trigger job on the .45? It seems like both are really good. Which has the best turnaround and prices? Thanks for the info...

I know both are great. But I have only had experience with Springer, and the turn around time was amazing. Sent it in on a Thursday and it was back in my hands on Tuesday.

If I may offer a suggestion to you. Pick up the phone and call each of them, giving them an idea of what your needs are, listening to what they have to offer in reply. Like everything in this business, turnaround time is based on work load and you want to make sure that the Smith clearly understands your expectations.

I wouldn't worry too much about price. What is important is the service yet get and the expertise that is offered and delivered

I have never had Scott build me a gun, but I have heard good things about his work. Canyon Creek has built 5 XDs for me and I have been happy with all 5.

I hope this helps.

You could just flip a coin and decide. Can't go wrong with either.

I wish For me turnaround is based on priorities, and I've always hated being without a gun for weeks for something that is relatively simple.

I turn around trigger and sight job quickly because I don't see the need to have a gun sitting in the shop when the customer could be out using it. I definitely take longer on some other things, so how I turn things around is based on the service I'm trying to provide. That is based on what I want as a consumer.

Rich does a good business and lots of folks like his stuff too, so I think you'll get a good product either way.

that's a loaded question here. i never had a trigger job but i'd imagine both are fair with their pricing and for turn around time, go to the one closest to you.

Really, tho, both are as close as the Fedex hub.

My votes with Scott at Springer. Turn time blazes and the work is top notch!

That's the kind of attitude I like. Honest, to the point, and respectfull to others that do the same business.

I haven't had a trigger job done on either of my XD's, but am going to do so in the future. I'm sure that either one will satisfy your needs.
