Well, I traded in my SigPro 2009 DAO for an XD .45 on Labor day. The day before I put 50 rds down at just 7 yds, and 19 didn't even hit the paper.

I can't get over anticipating the recoil as i see the hammer rise and then drop...even when I try not ot look at it.

and the long DA trigger...I just can't get used to it. What good is a HD weapon if I can't hit the attacker?

so, loving my XD9 subby which I shoot much better, I traded my 2009 for an abysmal price, and got a NIB .45 all black (hopefully the melonite slide). service 4" model...wanted a 5" but none in stock and apparently its just impossible to get XD's in any quick fashion right now.

all i need is a light, and maybe tritium sights some day, and i'll be ready at home. XD .45 nightstand, XD 9sub for CCW come Jan. 1st when its legal.

you shouldnt have got the DAO version. i have a sigpro 2022 and its alot easier to shoot accurately than my glock.

Tell me about it. It was my first handgun in...7 years (had a beretta 92fs stainless for a while when i was 21). $459 with 5 10rd mags...seemed like a great deal.

but the more I shot it, the more I hated it. didn't keep the $90 siglites i had installed on it either even though they'd fit my XD 9, just because it was such an ordeal to get them installed in the first place.

NO MORE SPONTANEOUS GUN PURCHASES!

FWIW, all xd 45ACP's come with the new finish.
