Aftermarket H. Chrome Warranty??

I am planning on sending my slide to Tripp to hardchrome. It will void the Springfield warranty if I do. The issue is that I haven't put one round through the piece. I would let SA do the work but no way I can wait 2 to 3 months to get it back. I'm sure Tripp will stand behind their work, just not sure which road to take... Do it or put some rounds through then send...

SA will not cover the finish, however, I don't see why they won't cover the internal working of the gun because you had the gun Hard Chromed. Did you ask them this? That would be like them not covering the trigger because you installed new sights.

I am going to call them tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone else had done the same thing and it would save some time. I will call SA before doing anything.
