Finally received the x200 today... I didn't have any fitting problem although it looks like it's tilted up just a little bit. Looking at the magazine cover again and it's looks the same way. Does anybody else notice this?

As far as the remote switch, as of right now I don't think I want it. For $65, I think I'll pass... for now...

They already have it. It's called duct tape.

I believe it's called a 'tactical adhesive roll'.

Wink At the range

I might add a little advice if your going to test the new X200 at range a small plactic plug cover will sure keep the lens from getting flash and powder blasted. That lens is a bear to get clean after a firing test.

Also if your not sure just how tight the light is being locked on to the XD I also advise rigging a laynard to keep the light from flying off if it lets go.

What made you say this? Are there reports of these coming off during shooting?

Mine is pretty rigid, but it also easily comes on & off when you press down on the lever.

Well my first attempt at installing my X200B was finding it somewhat hard to remove. So I started reworking the locking finger on the small spring loaded U plate on my X200. Well I got it filed down where it would now come off a lot easer but when I took it to the range to give it the firing test it came off after around five shots.

To make a long story shorter I called Surefire and they confirmed that some units need a little tuning. But it's best to have it somewhat hard to remove then have it fly off while being fired.

Surefire will send a new locking plate free of charge but you can re-work the P plate by filing the wide edge flat with the finger and it works fine.

Just be glad your fit good and just give it a good shoot test.

Thanks for the heads-up. Hopefully everything works ok when I go to the range. I used the U plate on mine which is already on it. I did try to put the P plate to see if it'll fit but as you said it's wide and won't fit unless you file it.
