Conceal a 45 tactical?
First im new to this site and yall have been very helpful thus far i have a question I'm 6'3" 230 and I just got my CHL I already own a XD 45 tactical and absolutely love it just wander if y'all think it's just alittle to big to carry daily Im a big guy and I like to have alittle bit bigger pistol than a sub compact. I'm gonna get a XDm 3.8 which I'm in love with and a few others after deployment but until then you think ill be ok with the tactical. I know it's all personal preference and all but y'all's input would be appreciated.

A .45 TAC is a pretty large pistol to CC, but it's a personal issue. Since you're a big guy like I am, you might be able to pull it off without printing. One things for sure, the XDm 3.8 Compact is an excellent choice and you should have no problem concealing it once you get one.
Thanks for serving!
I'm not too far away in Brownwood.

I have the .45c (4") with a custom Garrett holster, conceals just fine for me.

I have a 45TAC and a 45C. I think the TAC is a bit big for a carry. The C with the 10 round mags was a bit short in the grip but I just fixed that. Got a couple of Pierce grip extenders. They make the C a bit more comfy for me. I did find out that I can switch the frames between the two so now I have a compact tactical too.
I just ordered one of these http://www.taurususa.com/product-det...rumbseries=RB2 and I am pretty positive I won't be using it for my carry.

This man speaks the truth. If you dress like Elton John then I don't think you could conceal a Beretta 25 acp. However, if you wear larger shirts, the correct pants (or shorts for you lucky folks who don't live where it's cold), you can almost conceal any typical pistol. Though I'd like to see someone try to conceal a S&W 500

Well the 45C is quite a bit smaller in the critical grip area. I am only 5-10/190, I would need a pretty heavy jacket to conceal my TAC. The 45C does fine w/ IWB & untucked polo shirt. I am sure a larger guy gcould make it work w/ something like the MTac.
