Dear David,

Thank you for contacting me back. You can return the slide under RMA# ######. Please put this number on the outside of the shipping package and also include it in a note describing the problem. I have the info in the computer but a note is best for the techs. If you want the slide and all the small external metal parts done then the price is $60 plus $25 for shipping because you will send the whole pistol then and then we would have to send it overnight air, but if you want just the slide it is $30 plus $8.95 for shipping because just a slide can go regular ground. Unfortunately, we can not apply the melonite finish in the US. So, we will be refinishing it in Black Armory kote, which is a durable, impact resistant coating that is baked on. My local gun store goes through the gun with the would be owner prior to walking out the door with it. Also good use of time waiting for background check.

Same at my store. The salesman showed me how to break it down when I was considering the purchase. I inspected the gun then before filling out the paperwork. Three days later when I came to pick it up they took it out and handed to me to inspect again before I accepted delivery.

Dunno, but I think I'd tell SA to pack sand and go with a Dura Coat or Gun Kote in stainless or raise hell with Cabelas if it hasn't been fired. Let them deal with SA.
