OD - Can't Find it - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

The 2 SA dealers near me are having a very hard time keeping any XD's in stock. I am wanting to get and OD model. I have seen lots of 9mm OD but not an OD .45 yet. Now both dealers told me last week they have heard the OD model is either discontinued or they won't be making any for a while in order to focus on meeting productions needs in other finishes.

Seems bunk to me. Anyone have some good info about the production of OD .45's? I need some encouragement they are going to continue to be on the market, so I can pick one up.

You've got a better chance of finding Elvis alive somewhere next to the Lochness monster then getting an OD

I tried for a very long time, but now I've got a Tact in black.
They shoot the same, but I do believe the OD looks "cooler"

I'm curious to see how much a bare bones OD frame would cost. No sense in buying an entire pistol if you just want an OD colored frame.

my local gun store has XD9's in Tactical, service and sub in Od green.. also the XD40 in the same. XD45's are hard to come across, check gunbroker.com occasionaly and you might be able to find something... (that is if they are not discontinued or something)

You may be able to pick up one of the new tan ones faster. The have started to ship and some dealers as of today should have them on the shelves.

Last time I called SA about a month ago. They said OD Green for .45 would be shipping by the end of August. I'm waiting for the 5" OD Green in .45.
