LH Holsters for XD 45acp

Can anyone give me an idea of some left handed holsters for an XD 45acp. Do they work with the other XD Holsters?

Im looking for a nice left handed paddle holster as well as good duty holster. Thanks for any info.

I think most LH holsters will work for the xd45. It might be a tight fit, but it should work. If they're leather, they can be stretched a bit to fit the 45.

I'm a lefty, so I'll share my experiences. Of course the holster that comes with it is useless for lefties, too bad they don't offer some sort of exchange program for it, but we're used to it...

I've only had my XD45 for a short time so my collection of holsters for it are fairly limited. I purchased the Bladetech Kydex model for the XD45 with a mounted weaponlight. It's a little long for the compact with the XLM, looks like it would fit the Tactical model in the same holster, or a service with a longer weaponlight. Even so, it is a tight fit with little play and a "snick" when you holster it. For non discrete carry, the included two mag carrier is perfectly functional, but I wouldn't want to use it for CCW.

The other holster I have, which will be the one I use for CCW until I find an IWB, is a Don Hume JIT slide. Not a bad choice, since it's winter a cover garment is easy to use. I have this same holster for my High Powers, and it's an excellent minimalist holster. Good tight fit and coverage of the entire triggerguard. Not my first choice for CCW, but will do with a cover garment during the winter. When deeper conceal weather comes along, I'll have decided on and ordered a custom IWB holster. To use with the Don Hume, I ordered a single mag Kydex Safariland doublestack mag holder, so I had a single mag option for CCW. It's good for the price, but I'm looking around for one that's more discrete with a snapping cover. The sleeve on the long mag might make that a challenge, it's going to take trial and error I suspect.

Tex

I carry mine in an Answer IWB. I believe Rob also makes OWB LH holsters. They are not the cheapest in the world but they are certainly some of the best. Galco makes OWB lefties as well. I use a Matrix for owb. Pretty nice holster as well but no retention strap if you need one of those.

I have a Safariland 6280 (left-handed) for duty and a Blade-tech for off-duty. Both work well.

Good luck,

Marty

At a recent gun show in Hickory, NC, a vendor was there. I bought one of his holsters. It is leather, with a paddle.

The fella was real nice, here is the website..........

Another Lefty here...

I have a few LH for a few guns from Tucker & Milt Sparks. I highly recommend both for what ever needs you have. Note though Milt Sparks takes forever to arrive but worth the wait. Tucker makes some dang nice holsters and I'm always torn as to which place to order my next one.

I also make my own kydex ones so I have something to use till my leather ones show up. Not pretty but IWB and the like aren't meant to be seen besides I can make 10 holsters for the price of one bought from a store.

agreed, I like the CTAC I got from them. all handmade, so they'll make it left or right.
they're also familiar with XD's (like the fact an XD9subcompact is the same width as a 40/45 service, so all three can share the same holster...but an XD9 service is narrower and won't be retained properly)
