XD Holster

I know most of you don't like the holster that came with your gun. What exactly was it about the holster that you didn't care for? I got to looking at mine and I noticed that it is adjustable for the gun (tighten or loosen), and I do know that you have to wear a 1 1/2" belt.

Not left-handed, not adaptable to my 2-inch belt = sucks.

It's plastic and it's doesn't hold the gun tight to the body for CCW. I think the tension is inconsistant and affects the draw adversely unless the screw is loosened all the way.

On a related note, a quality Kydex holster for a Sig 226, a good hair dryer, oven mit and about 30 minutes and you can have a killer custom fit holster that's secure AND fast.

Not left handed, and the belt loops hold the holster too far from the body, making it cant out slightly when there is a gun in it.

+1 for not being good for CCW. I want something tucked in a little tighter to the body with the grip angled more forward.

Nothing like ripping off a duct-tape-sized band-aid every time you remove your piece. In the interest of truthfulness, I recommend duct tape as a last-ditch, spent-all-my-money-on-beer-and-ammo redneck cosmetic substitute for a quality hard-chrome refinish. Notice that this is referring to a firearm-based application, where it is completely acceptable. Use on holsters, on the other hand, is NOT recommended on the basis it will make you look like a jackass. See the difference?

No soft-chrome holster to match the soft-chrome slide?
