I carry my Tac in an IWB Answer holster. The .45 is a bit of a fatbody compared to a single stack though, and my pants need to be on the loose side in order to wear it comfortably. Love the quality of this product.

I carry mine in a homemade iwb holster. Comfortable and not noticeable iwb is the best way to go imo.

I use the Comptac C-tac with a Desantis 1.5" belt to carry my ACP service model. I can carry it with a loose tee shirt or light jacket with out much issue. It is noticable to the wearer though. I used to forget my 1911 was there. That won't happen with the XD.

I went from a Commander sized 1911 .45 to an XD45 Service in a C-TAC on a Milt Sparks belt with no problems at all. Successful concealment is more a frame of mind than anything. I've never been made.

Well, I've ordered the new CrossBreed QwikClip, but an Uncle Mike's has me covered with my XD45 right now. I have it at a really heavy cant to reduce printing, but it's not a bad draw. Heck, I can even reholster it, unlike some of my friends with cheapo holsters. Of course, once I have a nice holster, I'm modifying the UM for vehicle use.

I just picked up an Uncle Mike's Sidekick ambidextrous holster (size 15, about $28.95) for my XD-45 and I love it...
![]() (Not my photo nor my gun) It holds the gun well but isn't too big, and I can either wear it on my right hip or flip it and conceal it under my waistband in my lower back. I keep my SureFire 6P flashlight in the magazine pouch, just so I have it handy. Cheers! M2 |

I have been carrying my Tac since I got it and have no problem doing so. I use a Mach2 Tactical IWH with a 1 3/4" Wilderness belt and two Side armor mag pouches to balance the load. I carry mine at around 2:30 which on me makes it vanish. I have always said that with the right rig you can carry just about anything.
