I find that these guys: Precision Bullets make a pretty good product. My XD-45 loves the 230gr RNFP. You have to generate your own load data, but I can post a recipe when I get home, or PM me if you're interested.

I agree that your OAL is probably off.
I have L.E. Wilson case gauges for all my pistol rounds, I find that saves lots of trouble. The .45 is not hard to learn to reload just take your time. I have loaded thousands of rounds for it. Good luck and remember read the books they are the reloaders friend.

are you sure it is the bullet that does not fit? Take barrel out of gun, drop bullet (alone, no casing) into chamber, see if bullet touches rifling. If does, you have a problem with OAL as others have noted. Man, I'd be checking stuff like this before having a smith ream the chamber, that sounds scary.

Case gages are fine, but a case gage does NOT tell you if the OAL will fit YOUR bbl. The case gage will only tell you the round is sized & crimped properly. OAL, again, always barrel & bullet specific.

You don't become a better shooter unless you can shoot more & you don't shoot more unlesss you can do it for less.

^^^^what he said.....this is most likely the issue.
