Difference between..
I tried the search feature, but on my phone it keeps locking up so I can't really get an answer...
What are the differences between a XD 45 ACP and the XD Tactical??
I've got the chance at a Tactical, but need to strike quickly. I already have a 45 ACP.. I do love Springfields, but if there is no huge difference I may pass on it. I CC my XD40SC, my ACP is for classes and the Tactical, well if I get it, it will go into the rotation somewhere..

"Tactical" when referring to the XD line of pistols, just means 5" barrel...so, longer sight radius.

The Tactical is a 5", the Service is a 4" and the Compact is 3" <-correction (either the 5" tactical or the 4" service with shortened grip)... although, the word "Compact" generally refers to the grip length (shortened 10 rnd capacity in the .45 ACP models).
Your .45s are .45 ACP....refers to the round for which the weapon is chambered. ACP is an achronym for Automatic Colt Pistol (AKA .45 Auto). The .45 Colt is a longer, rimmed cartridge (rim is .8 mm) wider than the case.

If it is a standard XD in 45ACP, yes it is a 4", the '45 ACP' is just the caliber, The XD45acp is availible in 4",4" Service, 4" compact, 5", and 5" compact in several different color combo's

Well, I lost out on the deal to no fault of mine, just wasn't as fast as someone else..
I'll have to look at the 45 more. I got it in a trade deal as well, and haven't really shot it much yet. Not exactly sure which model 45 it is.. I'll have to take a closer look at it.

The .45 comes in Tactical, Service, and Compact. Tactical is 5", Service and Compact are both 4".
The Subcompacts in .40 and 9mm are 3".
The difference between a .45 Service and .45 Compact is grip length.
