Should i be worried!?!?

So I bought a used xd45 service the other day field striped it inspected it and it was clean no major issues just normal wear and tear.

Took it to the range the other day and only had two fail to feeds out of 350 rds and that was do to the 18 round mag from canyon creek, got that fixed with a quick slap on the side when im done loading the mag.

Shoots low, at seven yards I used the POA style and it's about 6 inches low my friend had the same issue as well as other shooter who were there. I corrected it by aiming the front sight a lil higher (like so on pic) and its dead on with 2-3 inch groupings. Are my sights off? should I call SA or get new sights, I do plan on getting night sights later on but will the same issue happen?
Other than that she shot like a dream.

Today when I was cleaning it I notice this on the ejector is this normal (see pic below)

so I inserted a mag with a round in it and it seems to be hitting the rim (the pic shown is the mag in the mag well, not locked in I have to use a lil force to make it lock)

So two issues are the sights and the ejector main thing is ejector.

Call Springfield about it. Send the pics and they will help you.

If I am not mistaken did you mention that the gun was used? Not to worry the Warranty from Springfield follows the serial number not the owner. So go ahead and contact customer Service with confidence. Perhaps the original owner sold the pistol for this reason, now you can profit by getting the issue taken care of and end up with a top of line pistol. It is rare that these things need repair. As for the sight issue sounds like you need to cover the target with the front sight. If you want a different hold, then you can discuss with them when you change over to night sights. XD sights a notoriously hard to change, so best left to the factory to do the job. Many gunsmiths will not touch them. These folks can also install night sights: http://www.springerprecision.com/

Yes I did buy this used but when I field striped it everything was normal, that chip on the ejector is an eye sore, but I guess the original owner replaced it before he sold it to the shop but I don't know!? I'll contact Springfield and see what they can do.

From SA website:

"WHO AND WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
Springfield, Inc. warrants to You, the original retail purchaser of the Product, that the Product you purchased will be free of defects in workmanship or material, subject to the terms of this
document.

HOW LONG WILL THIS WARRANTY LAST?
This Limited Warranty will last and be in effect during in which YOU, the original retail purchaser, owns the Product."

I'd say that means your statement is incorrect, and that the OP is SOL (or at least will have to pay for service...)

Yet for some reason SA doesn't give a $hi7 and will work on it anyway. They really don't care.

That's great!! Makes more sense from a happy-customer point of view IMO...

Well got a hold of SA and they told me
"Wear to that component is normal and will not affect function of the firearm. However, we would be happy to inspect it further if you wish."
So I'll might just send it in to get inspected and possibly some night sights and trigger work.

My sights on my XD-45 are dead on. First shot I put through was dead on target, followed by the rest of the mag. The longer I shot though I noticed my shots walking their way toward the top of the target. Mainly from fatigue from 100+ rounds of 45, plus the adrenaline from having such a successful first clip lol.

Like everyone else has said, if you arent satisfied with it, send it to Springfield. They have the best customer service of anyone in the business and will take very good care of you.

Glad you got in touch w/SA. Send it in & let them check it out, it will take any doubts you have about the gun out of the picture.
Good luck man...
