New Trigger
I'm sure this topic has been touched numerous times. Due to time restrictions I am unable to dig on up. As many have stated I am not satisfied with the travel time of the trigger pull and I'm looking for the best trigger for the platform. Any help is much appreciated.

This is the only thing I've found so far: PISTOLGEAR | YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL THINGS PISTOL don't know if there's anything else out there. It's on my "Things to get when I finally get a job" list. I really don't like the long pull and long reset but the actual pull weight isn't bad at all AND I can pretty much adapt to anything so I'm sure a couple times out shooting my XD45 and I'll not notice the long pull and reset nearly as much. Of course I'll have to stick with my stock striker spring since I reload with CCI primers.

Powder River Precision ultimate match trigger kit is what you are looking for. Tremendous improvement over the stock XD trigger.

I 2nd the powder river
there are 2 major players for trigger mods springer precision and POWDER RIVER the 2nd is easier to install. Spend the $130 for the full kit you wont regret it. My wife bought mine for me and wow what a difference. There is some slight fitting required, but its minimal. I shoot IPSC and love this trigger. It has very little play and about a 3 pound pull.

The only thing that I'm not crazy about with the PRP is the Plastic trigger. I was so happy when I saw that Springfield had used an actual metal trigger in this gun instead of the plastic one like the Glock uses. I think my pull is fine, not sure what it is but it feels light enough to me, just don't care for the long trigger stroke and the long reset, if I could get rid of that the actual pull weight wouldn't bother me a bit.

The PRP is a good kit, goes in easily & reduces over travel & reset by about 50%. You can even make the trigger lighter, but I find w/ the std spring & better trigger feel, I don't need it lighter.

+1 PRP
It depends on what your gonna do with the pistol. Lighter trigger for range and comp. etc, or "heavier" pull with factory(standard) combat trigger also preferred for CC?

Just don't change the return spring, use the stock one. THe trigger won't be lighter, just more predictable. I love the one in my TAC & will be getting one for my XD45C & it will be carried.

First off thanks for all your advice is highly appreciated. Second how much fitting for a new trigger are we talking here? This would be my first "project" in regards to replacing firearm components. I'd just like to make sure I'm not in over my head and mess up my firearm. Lastly, any advice or suggestions on the firing pin? I've heard people swapping the pin out for a tungsten one.
