XD 45 Tactical Compact Conversion
Truth be told, if SA made an XD(M) 5.25 compact chambered for .45 ACP, I would buy it and have nothing else for the rest of my life.

Since they don't....

Anyone ever try to mate the match barrel and slide from an XD(M) 5.25 with a Tactical Compact model? Is it possible?

My reasoning is my own.

My understanding is that the slides are not interchangeable between the XD and XDm line. But I believe you can swap the slide on an XDm 3.8 compact with that of one from the XDm 5.25. Another option is to do a grip chop. Do a grip chop and get some 9 round magazines for it.
