Tactical malfunctioned today...
I experienced the first non-ammo related malfunction today with the Tactical. About 100 rounds into the session, the trigger failed to return to its forward position. Hmmm. I ejected the live cartridge and the mag. Still no joy with the trigger. I started to disassemble the pistol, locked back the slide, raised the takedown lever and then realized I couldn't release the trigger to let the slide move off the frame. I jiggled it and poked the trigger for minute and it finally returned to the forward position. I examined the frame and could not find any protruding pins so I reloaded and then put another 50 rounds through it. It never missed a beat during those 50 rounds. I'll clean it tonight and look it over. If it happens again, I'll send it back to the factory for an inspection.
Anyone else experience this? On a positive note, the Tactical is now shooting 200 gr. LSWC without a hiccup. I've probably got close to 1800 rounds or more through it, and I suspect the spring has weakened enough to deal with the SWC reloads (5.6 gr. 231/200 gr. LSWC). God bless. Hugh |
