With a Remora holster, the 5" Tactical is my daily carry. My choices or my XD-45 5" or my wife's S&W M&P .45 4.5". Either way, I'm concealing a full-size .45 and they conceal quite nicely. All day, every day (except in my office building).

I keep the governor handy because I live in a built up area. Thin walls and single pane glass. So I can't fish a stray shot. But it'll shoot acp. I've also got an m&p 45 full size but since im growing more fond of the xdm I may get a small 45.

Well I hate to sound rude but I just want to ask why you want a High Cap 45acp for home defense? I can fully understand why if Primary carry in the streets cause you never know what situation you are going to run across in the streets. I also understand better to have more and not need than it is to need and not have. But being a Firearms instructor I teach and instruct my students to practice, practice, practice so they can get better shot placement and hopefully one shot stops. I know I don't want to go blowing 13 or 14 or 15 rounds through my house with my Family inside I do not want to have a gunfight and exchange alot of rounds so my question is inside the house only scenario what are you going to gain with 5 extra rounds? Why not carry extra clip?

All due respect, but any firearms instructor would (should!) know that one shot stops are the exception, not the norm--especially with handguns.
An experienced instructor would also know that a real gunfight is a dynamic situation, and perfectly placed rounds are more about luck than anything else.
I won't even touch the "extra clip"...

+ 1
I recently picked one of these up to use as HD/Truck gun. I don't intend to CCW it much but it's nice to have the option.
My go-to-gun for HD is a Mossberg 500.

Oh I like your style. Among my choices for home defense, is a Mil-Spec Mossberg 500 12ga riot gun loaded with 00 "buck and ball". Should make a distinct impressionon onany home intruder.

Exactly what I was going to say. Points for pump action.
IMO, a handgun is for carry and inside your home it should be so that you can get to your primary (be it shotgun or rifle) self defense arm.

learn how to shoot.
I find it pretty easy to tear out the center of a paper plate with my service .45
be more conscious of your trigger pull as you line the sights up on the target. With decent practice ammo that the gun likes, it's pretty easy to keep a mag in a 6" ring at 20-25 yards.
finding a good defensive load will make the pistols shine. Mine loves 230gr Federal hydrashoks. I need to score some of the HST to see how it runs.
