First Time Firing the 45
First post on the board, couldn't be a better topic!
I bought an XD-45ACP and a SIG SP2022 this past week, I was able to take them out today. I ran 300 rounds through each and I must say I love the feel of each. I was a little low and to the right with each of them, and I am not sure why, but a few more pratice sessions and I will figure it out.

Welcome to the forum. A little work on your trigger control and you'll stop the "low right" hits and soon be "dead on". It's typical, righties will shoot low left for the same reason

You are probably milking the grip just a bit with your weak hand or you could be pushing the trigger a bit when you pull.
Take up the trigger slack and pull straight back slowly until you are surprised by the break of the trigger and the gun going bang. Try to keep your weak (right hand) relaxed on the grip, it's just there for stability, not for taming recoil. Good Luck..........Skygun9

This is also my first post to the Board. I too purchased both the SigPro 2022 and XD45 in the past couple of weeks! I also own the Beretta 92F as well! For me, I shoot the XD45 a little better than the SigPro right now. But, I also enjoy shooting .45 more than the .40 of the SigPro. I am not the most accurate shooter and am working on finding ways to improve my skills. |
