Melonite Processing

Just surfing the net and ran across a company that does the Melonite "thing" and has alot of info on it. Makes me glad its done to our new XD's. I don't think we should have any kind of surface problems anytime soon . Check it out at www.Burlingtoneng.com [/b] See ya, Griffen

My SW99 has the melonite finish on it too.

Now, the metal is very protected against rust, but the outer carbon blackening can still be scratched fairly easily. But, the metal is still protected even w/ a scratch.

How do you like that SW99? I just got one in 9mm for my fiancee.
