XD-45 - too darned expensive to shoot!

Well folks, this might be in the wrong area but I thought it might get the most exposure here...

I bought an XD-45 Tactical , picked it up last Thursday and have put 200 rounds through it so far...

I LOVE THIS GUN! But with as much as I want to shoot, .45 ACP is going to be FAR FAR too expensive for my budget!

Does anyone have an XD-9 tactical (prefer OD Green or Bi-Tone but not a must!) in excellent condition they would want to do an even trade with? Will come with the original 2006 package including all original contents.

Whoever I trade with MUST BE in the Brevard County, Florida area and willing to meet up with me somewhere close to my place (Merritt Island, FL).

I will be checking with the place I bought it from to see how much they will give me as a trade-in towards a brand new 9mm , but I fear they will want too much extra money...

Feel free to drop me a private message on here or email me at my name on here at Gmail.com ... I reserve the right to withdraw this offer should the gun shop offer me a good trade value where I don't have to shell out too much extra cash for the 9mm.

I really hate to do this - but sometimes money gets in the way!

Shooting expence

I guess it depends on how much you are planing on shooting. Right now 200 rounds of Win. White Box Ammo. at WalMart would cost around $42+taxs.

Thats actually what I bought - 3 boxes of those... When for the same amount of money plus maybe an extra $2-3 I could have bought twice the number of rounds in 9mm...

As I said, I love this pistol - I've never been able to work a .45 as well as I can this one - tightest groups I've ever fired, especially for a pistol fresh out of the box - but the bite on my wallet is going to kill me!

You've probably covered these on your own already but I'll throw them out anyway.

- shoot less?
- wait for the 9mm barrel conversion?

I have the XD9 but would like to have the XD45 as well. I'm just waiting for something to convince me to buy an XD45. You already have one and now you have an excuse to buy an XD9.

I guess the big question then would be: How soon will the 9mm conversion be out?

Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment to reload, nor the time and/or materials to do it... Nor the money to buy all the things I would need, or the experience doing it.

I know what you mean. I meant it as a temporary solution. And that's why I bought the 9mm version. $4.63 for a box of 50 at Walmart. I'd still love to pick up a 45 later.

No idea when the 9mm conversion will show up. I wish I could go the other way though. Like put a 45 conversion in my 9. You can step down. I can't step up. Hang on to that 45.
