I am looking for extra mags for my new XD 45 tactical. I assume that the mags for the XD 45 Service and XD 45 tactical are the same...right?

Give www.whittakerguns.com a call. They have taken care of MANY XD45 owners on here including me. FYI two mags will cost you $55 shipped. They should have plenty in stock.

Are you kidding? On gunbroker they are 30 to $34. Even that price is high!

"Are you kidding?" as in that's too expensive or cheap? Shipping alone costs more than $5 through UPS Ground. Even if it was $5 to ship, $25/each is a deal. Beats $40/each someone was selling them on Ebay for.
The thing you have to note is that Whittaker CONSISTENTLY has them in stock.

i got mine for 55 shipped for 2 hicap mags.....not from whittaker though, local dealer in tampa, fl. i think she only had one left when i got mine

Well for now http://www.whittakerguns.com/ has the best prices since I just needed just a few more paying the going prices is not a big deal.
But If I needed 25 to 50 Mags then it would be a BIG deal. I myself don't think I want to go with any non-S.A. not made in Croatia Mags. So the prices won't be coming down to soon. IMHO.
