22 conversion for the xd

I want mine in 22mag ....17 HRM is too exotic...... since the frame is the same for the 5' and the 4'' does anyone have a spare 5" slide they want to part with..with adj target sights? .....anyone else got a wish list ?

A 22 conversion kit would be nice. What would be even nicer is a .40 conversion barrel. Or better yet, a 9mm.

sorry, couldn't resist. I just don't think it's going to happen. MAYBE we'll get .22LR down the line. if anything, i think you'll see a 9mm conversion like for the .40 and .357sig XDs.

at this point, it'll be up to aftermarket companies like bar-sto and EFK. springfield/croats are too busy keeping up w/ production of .45 and maybe working on subcompact development. also, getting the .40 caliber in the .45 frame w/ 15+ rounds would a big LEO draw. hell... a 9mm w/ 20+ capacity wouldn't be anything to shake a stick at, either.

i'm just guessing here but i'm betting that's where there priorties are.

Really? i don't know if i see this... the 9mm is obvious b/c it's so much cheaper to fire than .45. as i'm typing, I guess if you could get increased cap mags, that'd be the difference. i wonder if springfield is working on a separate .40 for this very reason... oh well. we can speculate all we want...
