Interesting. This is the first I am hearing about it myself. I believe they make .50 conversions for the Glock 21. I had no idea there was a .460 Rowland(?) for the XD .45. I can honestly say I have never heard of that caliber. But, now you have my curiousity piqued.

Yes I am also in the research phase. It has a small following and I was wondering the purpose of it. If I find out I'll let you know.

Yes it is a sweet caliber. It's purpose is to give you 44 mag (ish) like performance with an autolaoders' capacity and handiness.

.45super vs .460 Rowland

The only .460 Rowland I have ever seen was a Ruger Alaskan. Never seen ammo for it.

I am not familiar with the .45 super. Can it be fired in a XD-45 or G30/G21? Does it require a conversion barrel or special mags?

The .45 Super is dimensionally the same as the ACP, but the brass is strengthened in critical areas to handle the added pressures. The only thing that you might change out, is going to a stronger recoil spring and maybe a stiffer mag spring. Every thing else remains the same.

There was a thread on here about this a few months ago, but I can't find it. Something about "mom's bear gun"!
