Man I wish I knew how to reload, im already at $100 in less then one week of ammo purchases.

Can you jot down a brief note on what I would need and the prices? I have a really nice scale right now so im good in that area I think.

Not a bad idea to start. Never to late. Save alittle $ and do something fun.

Some one asked this question a while ago and I gave him the figures. I beleive it was about $700-$800 but can't remember for sure. Do a search here and in the ammo section you will find it.

I'm using a West Coast brand 200gr Plated RN, seated to an OAL of 1.260". I tried some at 1.240" but I had some FTF at that length. No problems at the longer OAL though. I'm using 5.0 gr of 700X and not quite making major, going to bump it up to 5.3 gr.

Called Rainier cause the 200gr. RN was not with the other reloading data. They were nice enough to e-mail me back giving me COl of 1.260" and w/ Win 231 5.6gr start(770 fps) 6.3gr stop(860 fps). This didn't seem to far off from other data a had but then they e-mailed me back saying COL for the .45 200gr. RN is 1.200 (Not 1.260), seemed alittle short to feed right.

I use a 200gr. Ranier round nose with 5.0 grains of alliant bullseye. Works great through my service model, I would say it has about 95% power of a factory round.

I am loading 185 grain JHP with 5.5 grains of TiteGroup. It is a great load and functions well in my 1911.

I do it on a LEE Load Master. I traded in my Pro 1000. The Load Master is 10x the press and a lot faster.
