I called the place where I bought my xd9 for a price on an xd 45 tactical and they told me $510 for the black tactical, is that a pretty good price? Also another place in town had a $550. price tag on the standard 4" service model, which they said that was as good of a price as they could give me. It's a good place to go and hold different models b/c they have so many.

it's a decent price, it depends on the quantity they buy in from SA, and the price they bargain with SA for the guns they buy. The store I bought mine at buys them one at a time intermittantly, so I ended up paying around 560 after taxes and stuff for it because the gun shop owner doesn't like plastic pistols so he doesn't order many at a time. Other gun shops I've dealt with in the past order 5 or 10 at a time so they'll get a lower price, or they have a contract for x pistols a month from a certain manufacturer, they'll get a lower price too. I'd go for the 510 one, it's certainly not too much for this pistol.

That's a good price. I got mine for $500 out the door at a local gunshow. That means the gun was sold for $461.89 plus 8.25% tax.

I don't feel bad at all bout 525.00 out the door price I paid.

This is what I paid for the gun, some ammo, range time, and targets
$576.73-
I don't feel ripped off at all, I'd have been fine paying 100 more than I did after shooting the XD, I think I paid something like 650 for my beretta 92fs inox new and it's also a fine firearm.

Whittaker Guns sold me a 45acp tactical for $520 total, will have to pay $25 for the ffl dude. locals would get it for $480+tax.

For the Tactical. $510 would been too much for the Service.
