45 ACP XD Bi-Tone finish
Just a head's up on the Bi-Tone finish for both the 4" and 5".
Vickie at SA said they will be available June/July. Made up my mind, going to wait for the Bi-Tone 5" Tactical. Thank's for all the input. |

I hope what you heard is right,I went to an open house at a gun shop in Minnesota a week ago and the Springfield rep that was there said July or August. I had first become interested in the bi-tone in Feb. and when I called Springfield they told me April or May. I'm not certain anyone knows for sure.

Davison's showing the service bi-tone as allocated, so they must be very close to release.
XD9613HCSP06 Springfield Armory XD 45AP PST 4B/SS 13RD FS Allocated What is an allocated item? An allocated item is one in which the demand far exceeds the supply. This means Davidson’s/GalleryofGuns.com will sell all of this product in less than one week, and many times in only a matter of hours. Why allocate items? If these items were open to sale to any retailer on a first come, first serve basis, two significant problems arise. First, a single or a small number of retailers may elect to buy the entire quantity, thus creating an immediate out-of-stock situation and a failure to “share the wealth” among our retailer base. Second, a more problematic situation is created when a retailer who is not supporting Davidson’s/GalleryofGuns.com with his other business, is able to buy these hard-to-get items, leaving none for our customers that do support us and depend on us for a large portion of their firearms. How are the items allocated? It is Davidson’s/GalleryofGuns.com goal to offer allocated items to the retailers that are supporting our company with purchases of non-allocated products. In order to accomplish this, Davidson’s/GalleryofGuns.com first allocates "hard-to-get" items to our salesmen based on the percentage of Davidson’s/GalleryofGuns.com sales they represent (EXAMPLE: If 100 of an item came in, a salesman doing 5% of Davidson’s total sales would receive 5 of this item to sell to his retailers.) Based upon the salesman’s evaluation (somewhat subjective) of the customer’s purchasing history, the salesmen then choose which retailers to offer the allocated items to. How can I get an item that is allocated? It is recommended that you first locate a retailer from our "Retailer Near You" section in our Gun Gallery (or simply enter your zip code where prompted on our home page). You will need to contact one of these retailers and inquire if they have one of these items in stock. If they do not have one of these firearms available ask them to contact Davidson's/GalleryofGuns.com and place this item on their "wants list". Most retailers will require a deposit for the firearm and your wait may be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. In some cases the wait may extend over a year. http://www.galleryofguns.com/gungall...&submit1.y=15#
