Wolf ammo didn't feed worth a hoot.
Had a shat load of FTF. The rounds were draging inside the mag. At one point the gun clicked, thought I had a bad cartridge, turns out it never
"moved up" high enough into the mag to be pushed into the chamber. What a PITA. On a good note, WWB, remington UMC, and the local range ammo (13.00/box) feed like there's no tomorrow. Oh, and I also put 13rds of winchester rangers +p through it. Very nice indeed. |

I'm thinking, since I have 350rds of wolf left, is there anything that says I can't hit the inside of the mag w/ a little WD-40? Please let me know if this is a stupid idea, and why. Thanks.

I had a feeding problem with winchesters the other day...
i went through 200 blazers with no problems, but when i started on the winchesters it would shoot 5 rounds and not feed the next. |

So would a different lube work? This is just for range use and I plan to break down the mag for cleaning afterward. Still a bad idea? I just don't want to send back 350rds of ammo....

WD-40 is deffinitely a lubricant. That may not bt it's primary purpose, but it does reduce friction. It's worth a shot.

Use some gun oil on the magazine. Just be sure not to over-apply.

The negative to oiling the mag is the chance, however remote, that the oil could ruin the primers. I would think a polish with Flitz or Armadillo wouldn't hurt though.
