I was at the Norfolk gun show this weekend trying to sell an older Mini-14

. However, I got $400 for it and found a vender to sell me a new SA-XD.45acp for $489

. So I am really happy,,I love the look of this gun and can't wait to shoot it. My other firearms in my little gun family are as follows;; A first gen Kimber Stainless .40 S&W W/ Blue steel coating, Heine night sites, and a set of rosewood cocobolo grips.......next .22 Ruger Mark III Hunter bone stock.....and also a nice .22 Ruger 10/22 w/ a simmons scope. I love my new .45 can't wait to shoot it next weekend, w/ my neighbor who is a huge Glock fan(boo),,it'll be fun..Nice to be with a great bunch of pistol fans......Next gun to buy is a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless.....later this summer......

Ahoy, matey! You're gonna love shooting that XD-45. Figure on your other firearms becoming safe queens.

Heck, your Glock buddy might even get converted once he shoots it.

Welcome to the forum. Just for grins... if your "Glock friend" by chance has a G21, compare those two side-by-side

He does have a Glock 21 I believe, but it is ported, so we will see. He already handled my XD and loves the size and grip. He has a large hand and prefers the glock style grip,,,but after he held the .45acp XD he was pretty excited to shoot it come this weekend, I will post results and thoughts..this guys also has both the .460 and .500 S&W revolvers...they are huge
