Grip size XDM45

I have an XDM 9mm that fits my hand and trigger reach perfectly with the medium backstrap, which means it shoots right to point of aim easily.

So, how much larger is the grip size on the XDM 45?

I was unable to find the grip dimensions on the Springfield interweb site.

I have the XD45 Service and I just handled an XDM45 side by side. I could not really tell any difference between the two, other than style, with the medium backstrap installed.

Since the XDM45 takes standard XD magazines it makes sense that it is at least the same size as the standard XD45. This would make it slightly larger in diameter than the XDM9mm.

The XDm9 with the large grip insert is about the same or little bit smaller size than the XDm45 with the small grip insert.

I have both and I can barely tell the difference. When I first held the XDM45, I knew it was the 45. I wanted sold my XD45 Service and bought the XDM45. In, addition the 45 fits just fine in my Don Hume 721OT. Maybe 1/8 inch of leather before it will stick out. I need to shoot it some more before before I carry it. Have considered selling my 3.8 9mm for a XD45 compact. Hard to part with though.

No regrets.
